For pollution abatement and conservation of various rivers of the state, Ministry of Environment & Forest, Govt. of India has sanctioned project and provided financial assistance for Mandakini River- Chitrakoot district Satna and Beehar River, Rewa under National River Conservation Plan (NRCP). A project for Conservation & Environmental Management of Shivna River, Mandsour has been submitted to the government of India.
