Ministry of Environment and Forest, Govt. of India has taken up environmental conservation and up gradation of urban lakes under the National Lake Conservation Plan (NLCP). Under this scheme Shivpuri lakes Shivpuri, Sindh Sagar Lake, Isagarh, District Ashok Nagar and Sita Sagar Lake, Datia have been sanctioned.
